114 years ago, our great-great-grandfather captained his fleet of 5
schooners from Gloucester, MA. Having lost none of his men in a 24-year span, he himself was swept off the deck in a gale.
While much has changed since then, the rugged beauty of the sea has
been a constant source of inspiration for the generations that followed.
Our goal is to transport this maritime aesthetic to your home, through the tradition of fine art that is so much a part of
its character.
One of the key tenets of our mission is to form a partnership with our
featured artists. Our relationship with each of them is based on a
mutual trust as we seek to preserve the value of their work. Our no-haggle pricing policy
ensures that the artists can easily see the listing price and know that
the value of their work is being maintained. Our goals are simple: to introduce our customers
to paintings that will enrich their living and working spaces
and to support our featured artists in doing so.
